Proof-sheets of Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe’s edition of James Kirkton’s 'Secret and true history of the Church of Scotland'.
'Recollections of teachings by Mr Irving. March 1834', being notes of sermons of Edward Irving.
The notes are partly in a contemporary hand, and partly by a 20th-century copyist signing himself 'W.G.' An original letter, 1831, from Edward Irving to Matthew Macdonald, Writer to the Signet, is inserted at the end of the volume (folio i).
