This booklet was found by Lord Byron on the battlefield of the Battle of Waterloo on his visit in 1816. It had belonged to Louis Marie Joseph Monsigny who died in that battle.
The Livret is mostly printed, with some manuscript annotations relating to Monsigny. Information includes details of his parents, his appearance and items he purchased as a soldier.
