Scope and Contents Alastair Cram was educated at Perth Academy and Edinburgh University and started his working life as a solicitor in private practice at the Scottish Bar. In the Second World War he saw service with the Royal Regiment of Artillery and SAS during which time he was taken prisoner and was involved in several successful escapes.
