A scrapbook of press-cuttings and photographs concerning piping and pipers., 1929-1935 and undated.
A scrapbook of ephemera, news cuttings and photographs, containing information and illustrations of pipers and bagpipes mainly in Scotland, Ireland and Northumberland. Most of the material bears no date, but some items are dated 1929-1932. A copy of James Robertson's 'The Highland Bagpipe' is thought to date from [ca. 1935]. Among the photographs are some of Gilbert Askew himself holding Highland and Northumbrian pipes respectively.

The identity of the photographer of the two concluding London studies is unknown. Album also contains an exhibition guide for the 'Mini Paintings' exhibition held at the Ian Clarkson Gallery in Edinburgh between 25 November-8 December 1967; and a copy of the artist's curriculum vitae, dated December 2003.
