Scope and Contents

There are a number of letters to David Steuart Erskine, Earl of Buchan (succeeded 1767), which relate largely to his antiquarian interests. Most of the other letters are also of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, and the writers include noblemen, churchmen, public servants, and prominent literary figures.

Scope and Contents From the Series: Most of the compositions of G W Crawford are written on a large scale and the collection consists chiefly of full scores, piano reductions and orchestral parts. Scope and Contents The contents are as follows.(i) Autograph draft of String Quartet Number 1, opus 4 (folio 1), apparently begun in 1948 and completed in 1950 (folio 34 verso). These include two further poems on ‘Mochtar is Dubhghall’ (folios 15 recto, 38 verso), and English verse translation of An Ciaran Mabach’s “Nollaig bu ghnàthach air fìon” (folio 25 verso) and English prose translations (published) of two of the poet’s own works (folio 43 verso).
