Album of songs for voice and piano by T E Wright, music teacher at Banff Academy., 1904-1905.
Bessie Kerr, a native of Banff, made her London début as a contralto in 1918, and from then until about 1934 sang regularly for the BBC, for Chappell 'Pop' concerts, and for Promenade concerts. Her correspondence includes letters of Sir Edward German and Frederic King her teacher at the Royal Academy of Music.
Fragment of a music book of Robert Moir containing settings of hymns for solo, alto, tenor and bass, copied from hymn books and other printed sources published between 1855 and 1863, as well as from much earlier sources., 1511-1863, undated.
The music book is lacking both covers, and leaves after folios 17, 18 and 31. Folios 30 and 31 have been cut from the binding, whilst folio 22, which contains additional verses, is tipped in.

Possibly the leaves were intended to be stitched together, as the songs are numbered, forming an incomplete series.

Manuscript music book of G W Crawford entitled ‘Book no. 1 of songs’, containing autograph fair copies of songs on opus 2 and opus 5 with alterations in red ink and additional compositions in pencil., [?1892-?1941.]
The alterations in red ink are at folios 13-14 verso.

The Nisbet papers fall into four groups, belonging respectively to the Nisbets of that Ilk, the original owners of the estate; the Kers (later Carres) of Cavers and West Nisbet; who acquired the estate in 1649; the Chisholmes of that Ilk, connected by marriage to Charles St Clair, 15th Lord Sinclair, who succeeded to the estate some time before 1813; and William Molleson, probably related to the sister of Charles St Clair, de jure 13th Lord Sinclair.

The leaves are watermarked 1839, except folio ii is watermarked 1835.

The volume is stamped ‘Music’ in gold capitals and inscribed 'N[o] XVII' on the upper cover.
One of the Italian songs is dated 1846 (folio 11 verso) and another 1848 (folio 10 verso). A printed Italian song is tipped in inside the front cover (folio i) and a contents list at folio 1.
Two leaves have been cut out after folio 11.

The music book consists of a number of bifolia and single sheets stitched together to form a volume. An octavo leaf, containing additional words, is tipped in at folio 9.

Leaves have been torn out after folios 2 and 4. Folios 10 12, 14 and 16, which contain additional verses, are tipped in.
