This appears to have been the text referred to in Sir Charles Harris's letter of 19 November 1916 to Richard Haldane (MS.5913, folios 77-80): the earlier version was thought to have been used by Harold Begbie in his ‘The vindication of Great Britain’.

Ruthven Todd was originally commissioned to write the official biography of Dylan Thomas, but failed to do so. These manuscripts are his reminiscences of the poet, which were not published except for chapter 12 which appeared in the ‘Mediterranean Review’, volume i, number 3 (1971), pages 15-23.

It mostly concerns a proposed memorial volume to Mitchell, and includes letters from those asked to contribute (folio 35).
