This collection dates mainly from after 1988, when John McGrath and Elizabeth MacLennan resigned from the company which they had established, with David MacLennan, in 1973. Following the funding crisis in 2006, the company had to leave its base in the STUC building in Glasgow, and it was at this point that much of the material in this accession was presented to the National Library of Scotland.

The text has been edited by Burns Martin and John W Oliver, with notes by Alexander M Kinghorn and Alexander Law, in ‘The works of Allan Ramsay’ (Scottish Text Society), volumes ii, pages 204-277, and vi, pages 96-103.
Hardback A4 notebook of Don Paterson, annotated 'V. early, circa [19]88-[19]89', containing draft poems., Circa 1988-1989.
Many folios are loosely inserted into the notebook. These include photocopies of typescripts of final versions of many of the poems published in 'Nil nil'.
The notebook may have been used originally for stock-control in a bookshop.

Potentially sensitive material, such as contracts, have been removed from all other files and shredded.
