Collection contains one folder of reproduced press cuttings, images, and articles concerning the life and work of Betty McIntyre as a leading figure in the Scottish trade union movement. Included is a copy of a letter from the principal private secretary of the Prime Minister notifying McIntyre of her OBE award in 1975, and a copy of her President's address to the STUC Congress in 1974.

Critchley concerning the latter's research on legal proceedings between Glasgow dock workers and the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) in 1931. Collection was possibly amassed by WGML librarian Audrey Canning in the course of her own research into the life of Jessie Stephen, in preparation for the publication of a biographical entry on Stephen in the Biographical Dictionary of Scottish Women, 2006.

Scope and Contents Harrison Maxwell and Tinney were both teachers, social intellectuals and active members in the Red Clydeside movement of the pre-war period.
