Scope and Contents

Alexander Walker became a member of the Malabar Commission in 1800 with a particular responsibility for investigating unrest among the Mapilla chieftains in the Southern District. This led to an extensive correspondence with George Waddell, Southern Superintendent, and with John Spencer, President of the Commission.
