This series contains manuscripts of, and associated working papers for, Ian Rankin’s PhD thesis on Muriel Spark for the University of Edinburgh. The working papers include extensive research notes, press cuttings, and other research materials collected by Rankin, as well as correspondence and other contact between Rankin and his PhD supervisor.
