Scope and Contents
Small hardback sketchbook containing 59 pages of drawings and 9 pages of manuscript notes by the artist. Sketch mediums include ink and pencil. The majority of images are untitled and undated. Subject matter includes character studies primarily, with four sketches showing the inner workings of a pocket watch, and one image depicting an unidentified crest. Identified individuals, events, and locations include David Robinson (French Department, Edinburgh University); Liberal Party Conference, March 1981; Edinburgh University Staff Club; 'Greenmantle'; King's Arm's, Sloane Square; and King's Cross, London. Manuscript notes include details on Italian artists and their works in various cities across Italy. Sketchbook also includes two loose pages in which the artist notes financial matters pertaining to her career.
