Scope and Contents
Hardback sketchbook with woodchip paper containing 28 pages of crayon drawings and a further 20 unused pages. The majority of images have been dated and titled, and are all Edinburgh-based. Locations include Frederick Street; George Street; the West End; Rutland Square; Princes Street; Rose Street; and the Scottish National Gallery Café on the Mound. Subject matter includes character studies primarily, with the artist capturing local residents in everyday situations; working, walking, waiting for buses, meeting friends, eating, reading, and shopping. Image creation dates appear to range from June-August 1998.
