Letters, 1847-1879, of Arthur Stanley to John Murray III, with related letters and papers dating to 1934. Stanley’s letters concern his many publications published by Murray, including “Historical memorials of Canterbury”, “Sinai and Palestine”, his volumes of lectures on the Eastern Church and on the Jewish church, and “The life and correspondence of Thomas Arnold”. The letters are arranged in chronological order. Additional correspondence has been added to the end of this sequence.
