Substantial portions of the material in MS.23218 and almost all of MS.23219 were published in pages 1-150 of ‘The autobiography and letters of Mrs M.0.W. Oliphant', which was arranged and edited by Margaret Oliphant's cousin Annie, Mrs Harry Coghill, 1899.
A photographic reprint of the first edition, with an introduction by Q D Leavis, was published in 1974 by Leicester University Press, and the 'Autobiography and letters of Mrs M.0.W. Oliphant' alone was republished 1988 by the University of Chicago Press with a foreword by L Langbauer. The complete text contained in MSS.23218-23219 was published, with notes by Elisabeth Jay, as 'The autobiography of Margaret Oliphant' (1990).
