Copies of papers concerning the judgement of the Council of Two Hundred of Geneva against Jacques-Barthélemi Micheli du Crest.

At the end is a printed notice, 1736, of the “consultations” of the Parliament of Paris on the same subject.

Transcripts, chiefly, of letters and papers of Sir Hew Campbell of Cessnock and his descendants, and of a few other letters, all of which seem to be connected with the Hamiltons of Silvertonhill.

Scope and Contents Copious notes face part of the text, beginning at verso of folio xiii and ending at folio 33 verso. Thomas Ross submitted at least part of the manuscript to the Highland Society of London (see his letter to their secretary, folio iii). His hand was similar to Ewen MacLachlan’s, and in notes at folio 24 verso Sir John Sinclair attributes his work on ‘Temora’ to the latter.
