Scope and Contents The register contains copies of papal bulls and other documents concerning the Chapel, dated from 1501 to 1537. The text is all in Lambert`s hand, except for folios 41-42, and there are large calligraphic initials. Each folio is signed by James Primrose, clerk to the Privy Council; this was probably done in 1621 when the Register and other documents of the Chapel Royal were put into his keeping for transfer to the Bishop of Dunblane (see ‘Register of the Privy Council...
