The list is written in the same hand as MS.9278.

Headed "List ofGaelic books offered by Dr Hew Morrison, and wanted by N.L.W." A loosely-inserted sheet that sums up the number of books wanted by the National Library of Wales is dated 1922. The list is kept in the detached covers of a former notebook, with genealogical notes on the Morrison family on the front and back paste-downs.

With a note (folio 49 verso) that a copy was made for William Palmer, Attorney, Ironmongers' Lane, London, as a guide to making his own catalogue; a catalogue of a library (not apparently relating to the preceding memorandum), eighteenth century (folio 50); and an alphabetical list of styles (folio 84).
These may have come from the collection of Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe (information supplied by the donor).
