Scope and Contents
Strowan`s own letters mostly concern his financial and legal affairs, but among those addressed to him are some from the Earl of Mar, written during and after the Rising of 1715, and from John Hay, Duke of Inverness. The papers also concern Strowan`s part in the Rising, and the pardon granted to him in 1731.

From the Series:
The charters of the Minto family include titles to all the lands owned by the family in Roxburghshire, Fife, and Angus. The Roxburghshire titles include a few from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries but they and the Angus titles are not numerous until the seventeenth century.
