Notarial instrument in favour of William, Earl Marischal (created 1458), of the Forest of Gordon on the revocation of Alexander, 1st Earl of Huntly., 20 February 1439.
Included are charters of Deer Abbey which passed to the family on the Reformation as the lordship of Altrie. Notes on these charters appear in Patrick Keith Murray`s `Inventory of Marischal Papers, 1905`, MS.21114.

Restoration by Sir John Hope fiar of Craighall S.C.J. and Sir John Carstairs of Kilconquhar to Sir William Forbes of Craigievar, of Glencorse and Saltoun., 17 September 1642.
William Forbes of Many, afterwards of Craigievar, and his son Sir William, succeeded in acquiring all rights to Saltoun, which was ultimately sold, after being held briefly by Sir William Gray of Pittendrum and various relations of Forbes, to Sir Andrew Fletcher of Innerpeffer.
Three items originally found loose in MS.16497: Manuscript of the Regiam Maiestatem and other legal texts, but now kept separately., 16th century.
The contents are as follows:
(i) An address panel from a letter to Alexander Arbuthnott, Principal of King's College, Aberdeen;
(ii) An instrument of donation, 1548[-1549], by Katrine Fraser, relict of Robert Forbes, to her brother Mr George Fraser, of all her possessions;
(iii) Fragment of a contract of marriage between Alexander [ ] and Margaret Robertson, mentioning George Fraser, Minister of Durris.
