On the manila cover containing the transcriptions there is the following comment by John Murray V, concerning the originals of the letters : "In the collection of Lord Ilchester at Melbury and lent to me that copies might be made to keep with our Holland letters. JM Jan 1948".
The letter of Gertrude Thresher to John Murray V concerns an error in the transcription of folio [].
