Scope and Contents
Chartulary produced in Scotland containing documents and charters concerning Paisley Abbey. The contents are arranged according to subject matter, and in part topographically. The volume includes copies of royal, papal and episcopal charters, with a contemporary table of contents at the front.Davis has dated the manuscript to the 1520s. Scott suggests that part of the manuscript may have been started around 1505, but that the presence of a group of texts dated to 1522 supports...
