The work is a dedication copy to Pope Sixtus IV of a moral treatise, consisting of three dialogues written by Bartolomeo Sacchi, more commonly known as Bartolomeo Platina. This is the second version of the dialogue, with an earlier version called 'De falso ac vero bono' dedicated to Pope Paul II. The script and watermark evidence suggest that the manuscript is a work of the late 15th century, probably 1470 and after.
