Scope and Contents
The insertions are copies, probably taken from originals now in the Public Record office, of letters sent by John Knox to Elisabeth and Cecil in 1559. They were incorporated in Buchanan's edition of 'History of the Reformation in Scotland' (1644) and in all subsequent editions.
