Whilst there are no diaries or address books as such, most of the notebooks have been used for these purposes to some extent, with lists of contacts and correspondents and journal entries throughout. Very few of the notebooks in this series have been used for just one purpose, and most contain journal entries, sketches, draft letters, musings and reflections, and drafts of Alasdair Gray's version of 'The divine comedy'.
