Letters, 1862-1918, of Hariot Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood to John Murray III, John Murray IV, and Hallam Murray, with related letters and papers. They concern works of hers published by the Murrays, including “Our viceregal life in India: selections from my journal” and “My Canadian journal 1872-8”. Later letters discuss the biography of her husband by Alfred Lyall, and also the impact of the First World War on her family. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
