The names mentioned include the Laird of Grant and the rebel James Grant, the Laird of MacGregor, Allan Mackinduie or MacIain Dubh (Allan Macdonald, in Laroch), and the Laird of Balvenie and George and Duncan Cuming (a clause regarding Lady Rothiemay erased) (folio 33);

(v) Letters, 1640, of John, 13th Duke of Sutherland, and Sir James Fraser of Brea to Alexander Linton of Pendreich; with transcripts (folio 35);

(vi) A summary, 1679, of events abroad and at home (the war on the Continent, action taken after the Popish Plot, etc.) (folio 45);

(vii) Papers, 1704, 1710-1711, of the Baron Court of Tinwald (folio 46);

(viii) Copy of a letter regarding the treatment of Prince Charles Edward by the French Government, signed A B, Paris, 20 December 1748 (folio 51);

(ix) 'Copy of a letter from Secretary M.' to a nephew, reprieved by the King, signed J M (perhaps Murray of Broughton), with the name Williamson written at the foot; and copy of a letter apparently written to Prince Charles Edward, both in the same eighteenth century hand, undated (folio 59);

(x) Two notes, undated, both apparently written to Robert Riddell of Glenriddell (folio 61);

(xi) Letter, undated, signed R I or R J, Rockhall, to 'Mr. Frances', with what seems to be the latter's reply (folio 63);

(xii) Extract from the examination of the physicians of George III regarding his mental state, 1810 (folio 65).
