The contents are as follows.

(i) Account between George Wishart, Bishop of Edinburgh, and his factor in respect of the rental of Holyroodhouse and New Abbey, 1662-1667. (Folio 1.)

(ii) Correspondence of Sir James Livingston of Kilsyth (afterwards Viscount Kilsyth), chiefly on his private business, 1640-1661, preceded by an inventory, 1682. From the appearance of Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe's name on a leaf enclosed with these papers (folio 35), they appear to have been sent to him for examination. (Folio 35.)

(iii) Papers in the case of Captain Thomas Green of the ‘Worcester’, in whose defence John Spottiswoode, the Keeper, took part, 1705, 1707, undated. (Folio 135.)

(iv) Father Richard Hay, ‘Lettre écrite au duc de Perth’, 1712, with the author's manuscript corrections, and a letter to Hay, undated. (Folio 155.)
