Scope and Contents

The papers consist of the following:

(i) 'Instructions for preparing a case for the Duke of Hamilton touching his peerage as Duke of Brandon & c. and proceedings in the House of Lords on the Duke of Queensberry petition’ 1719 (folio 1);
