Arrangement

iv + 69 folios. The volume is in two parts, one running from folio 1 to folio 57, the other backwards from folio 69 to folio 58. Between the two parts several leaves have been cut out.

Custodial History

On folio 69 verso is the inscription, 'Margaret Sinkler aught this musick book, written by Andrew Adam at Glasgow, October, the 31 day, 1710'- Other owners were George Kincaid, Glasgow, 1717 (folios iv verso, i), and Dr George Kincaid Pitcairn, Edinburgh, 1829 (folios 69 verso, 57 verso, and elsewhere). The name of Mrs Anne Crookshank or Crookshanks also occurs (folio 1).
