Scope and Contents
The opera was originally performed by the Glasgow Grand Opera Society in 1937.
In this arrangement, Act 1 is entirely omitted and the work begins on page 88, pages 1-87 being either cut out or sealed up. Several other groups of leaves were sealed up, but have been subsequently unsealed.
The composer's explanatory notes are on the outer and inner front cover and at folio 104.
