Scope and Contents

The contents are as follows.

(i) 1298 (H.2.7), uncatalogued paper fragments, 3 folios. These contain the following. (Index thus: 14901, Trinity College Dublin 1298, folio 1 recto);

(ii) ‘Mo ina ainm iarrla Gaoidheal’, 43 quatrains. Apparently on Archibald, 8th Earl of Argyll, at his succession 1638. Hand: Eoghan Mac Phàill (folio 1 recto);

(iii) “Do bheirim barr buadha is áigh”, 10 quatrains. On the birth of an heir to MacDonald of Antrim. Hand anon (folio 3 recto);

(iv) Pen-tests. Hand: as Adv.MS.72.2.2, folio 6 and Adv.MS.73.2.20, folio 9 (folio 3 verso);

(v) 1319 (H.2.17), pages 412, 422. Bears signatures of Hector MacNeill of Taynish, ?1639;

(vi) 1349 (H.4.8), pages 18-19. (See Adv.MS.72.1.1).
