Scope and Contents

The letters here have been divided into four groups: those in French; those in Italian; those of and to Prince Alexander Mavrocordatos; and letters to or relating to Lord Byron in Greece. In each section, the letters have been arranged alphabetically be correspondent. An additional letter in Italian has been added at the end of the sequence. This was originally housed, before foliation, in Ms.43408 and was moved during the cataloguing process.
