The catalogue was compiled before the transmission of the collection to the National Library of Scotland in 1938. It contains interesting details about many of the books. A newspaper-cutting about the collection, and notes made by members of the National Library staff, found loose in the first volume, have been pasted in.

Scope and Contents

This is a copy of MSS.5053-5054 with the leaves arranged differently, in two separate alphabetical sequences, and was the working copy used by the donor, Campbell White, in looking after the collection before Hugh Sharp's death.

Most of the correspondence is concerned with the publication of books relating to the works of Lewis Carroll, and with Hugh Sharp's attempts to purchase various rare books and first editions.
