The papers are arranged as follows:
MSS.10371-10376. Correspondence, accounts and documents.
MSS.10377-10392. Notebooks and journals.
Two of the manuscripts (MSS.10375-10376) have been bound together to form a single volume. This has been done without careful regard to the intellectual arrangement of the papers and, as a consequence, the descriptive hierarchy of the records has had to be modified to show a group of records together in one sequence which would ordinarily have been shown as distinct sub-sequences.
