This is a wide-ranging collection of material, but the most substantial and significant components are: personal and business correspondence dating from the 1950s to 20XX (?though little seems to survive from the 1960s-1980s); playscripts dating from the 1960s onwards, and relating to `A Gray Playbook` (Edinburgh: Luath, 2009); photograps, digital media, drafts and corrected proofs for `A Life in Pictures` (Edinburgh: Canongate, 2010); XX sheets of storyboard for an unmade film of `Lanark`.
Appraisal

Duplicates of printed matter were disposed of, everything else is retained.
