Scope and Contents

The first part of the volume deals with a visit Campbell made to Norway from July to September 1868 (folios 14-145) and travels in Scotland and England made from October to December of the same year.

There is also a section on the Kildonan goldrush of 1869 with press cuttings and related correspondence, and at the end of the volume are several pages of notes concerning coal-mining and the Coal Commission.

Scope and Contents From the Series: These papers relate to Magnusson's time working for Scottish Natural Heritage. The organisation was formed in 1992 following the amalgamation of the Nature Conservancy Council for Scotland and the Countryside Commission for Scotland. Magnusson served as the Chairman of the organisation from 1992 until 1999.
