Scope and Contents A transcript of 56 charters of the Abbey of Holme Cultram, a Cistercian monastery founded by monks from Melrose in 1150, in what was at the time Scottish territory. The charters selected for transcription concern Scottish lands or were granted by Scottish persons. Further charters are calendared at the back of the volume.
