The contents are as follows. (i) Photocopy of the typescript of sections I, 'In these circumstances, and II, 'Look at the way things are' (folio 1). Manuscript drafts of sections III, 'Postcards/Conversations/Epigrams' and IV, 'Animals know' are written on the versos of folio 20-34. (ii) Carbon typescript of sections I-IV heavily annotated by Jose Emilio Pacheco (folio 35); (iii) Carbon typescript of corrections to be made by the printer (folio 105).
Manuscript annotations of the first half of the eighteenth century on an interleaved copy of ‘Fabularum aesopicarum delectus, cum Rogeri L'Estrange, equitis, interpretatione Anglica, necnon Latina variorum, Horatii, Phaedri, Faerni, &c. In usum studiosae juventutis Academiae Edinensis’ (Edinburgi, apud Jacobum Watson, MDCCX)., 1st half of 18th century.
The annotations consist of: (i) Parsing, translation and etymology (all in Latin) of words from the Greek text of fables 1-22, almost identical with the corresponding part of MS.16484 (folios 4-22); (ii) Diagrams for the definitions and propositions of Euclid, books 1-4, 6 (folios 23-39); (iii) Trigonometrical diagrams and problems (folios l, 39 verso-46); (iv) Algebraic problems (folios 49-54).

The religious work is in 24 lessons; lessons 13-22 are on the Decalogue. At the end of the volume there are: 'Ce livre est écrit par un Papiste' (page 540); 'P. L. Du Pont' (folio ii verso). The manuscript may be a translation of part of a work by the Spanish Jesuit, Friar Luis de la Puente.
Manuscript of Agnes Ethel Mackay's translation of Pierre Herbert, ‘Halcyon’., 1946.
Agnes Mackay was born and educated in Scotland, but spent much of her life in France. During the German Occupation, she lived in St Tropez with her cousin, Marion Melville, and they moved to Paris after the war. Her publications included poetry, biographies of Paul Valery and Arthur Melville, and critical works on art and literature.
