Two journals, possibly of Sir Arthur Pearson, of motoring tours made in Scotland., 1915-1920.
The tours begin by train from London and places visited include Glasgow, Oban, Ballachulish, Mallaig, Edinburgh and Perth. The writer's interests centre around the scenery, weather conditions, his fishing expeditions and the standards of Scottish hotels.
Typescript of a journal kept in France by Catherine Mure, perhaps the daughter of William Mure of Caldwell (succeeded 1776)., 1818.
The Mure of Caldwell papers are chiefly of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Some of the earlier papers belonged to the Mures of Glanderston, the two families having been united in 1710 by the succession of William, 4th Laird of Glanderston, to the Caldwell estates.

Volume entitled 'Farrago Libelli' by Alexander Walker, consisting of three chapters based on Walker's first-hand experience of India., 1781-1784.
The chapters are formed by a journal of Alexander Walker's voyage from Europe to India as a young officer in 1781, a journal of the Malabar expedition under Brigadier-General Mathews against Hyder Ali in 1782-1783, and a journal of the siege of Mangalore in 1783-1784. This fair copy seems to have been made circa 1821.

Many of the diaries are illustrated with sketches of architecture and scenery. The diaries show Traill to have been a sensitive tourist giving detailed accounts of scenery, geology, history, local customs and industry.
