The first two score books in the series record matches between 1848-1866, but are not the original score books. They were instead created in the 20th centiry from the research of Sandy Thorburn, the Club Historian.
The information in those two volumes largely came from press reports, which in the early days of Scottish Cricket could be very brief. As a consequnce, the information in these volumes is not as detailed as those in the other score books.
