The contents of the manuscript are as follows:

(i) Notes of dues for matriculation of arms, 1768, 1798, and undated (folio ii).

(ii) Arms of the nobility copied, with some additions, directly from the Lyon Register. Engravings of the arms are pasted on the facing pages (folio 3).

(iii) Arms of knights and baronets copied from the Sunderland Hall manuscript (folio 56).

(iv) Funeral escutcheons engraved by David Deuchar, with blanks left for completion. The names of notable persons who died between 1765 and 1782 are given above some of them (folio 221).
