Scope and Contents

In particular Campbell records his study of sun-spots and their effect on weather. The small pamphlet he published on the subject, ‘Sun Spots and World`s Weather’, being two letters he sent to the editor of the ‘Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society’ in 1884, is included in this volume (folio 69).

There is also a little related correspondence inserted here and there throughout the volume.

Apart from notes and press cuttings on astronomy and meteorology, there is also material concerning the Crofters` Commission of Islay.
