Scope and Contents

Letters of various correspondents to John Murray, publishers. These include letters of Frederick Pennefather to John Murray IV. His earlier letters concern his "Handbook for travellers in New Zealand" and social, political and economic situations in Australia and New Zealand. Pennefather`s letters, 1915-1918, concern the political situation in Ireland during the First World War.
