Scope and Contents
This collection contains additional papers relating to Edith Simon's career as an artist and writer, as well as some early juvenilia, embracing her illustration and creative writing. The collection also contains a series of papers relating to her husband, the noted geneticist, Dr. Eric Reeve, documenting his university studies at the University of Oxford, his subsequent war service, and his later career at the University of Edinburgh.

Papers were summarily sorted into folders and rehoused in numbered archival boxes in October 2022 for long-term preservation, following initial receipt and storage by the NLS Archives & Manuscript Division in 2017. No further interventions have taken place and no attempt has been made to interpret the papers beyond these initial general aggregations. The following box listing relates to the individual boxes as created by NLS Archives & Manuscript Division personnel. Where files have retained titles used originally by Edith Simon, her husband Eric Reeve, or their daughter Antonia Reeve, this has been noted in the relevant descriptions.
