On the back board of the volume he has recorded the results of hunting and fishing expeditions made throughout his tour.

There is also a series of pencil sketches at the back of the volume of various people Campbell encountered during court cases he attended while studying law. In some cases, he gives a brief note on the proceedings.
A printed extract from Campbell’s pamphlet, ‘Notes on the Stature of the Lapps’ is inserted between folios 64 and 65.

Since Campbell spent most of his time travelling in the extreme north of the country, the watercolour and pencil sketches are mainly of the scenery and people of Lapland.

Campbell also includes rubbings of ornamental tiles from some of the Indian temples he visited.
