Scope Note: Drawings using ink as the primary medium and pen as the primary implement, usually on paper but may be on another support. Such drawings have a distinctive, linear appearance. For drawings that use pen and ink as well as washes, prefer "pen and wash drawings." For drawings or paintings using ink applied with brushes, use "ink wash paintings."

Scope and Contents From the Fonds: Ruthven Todd was born and educated in Edinburgh, and from 1932 to 1934 worked as a farm labourer in Mull before moving to London where he joined the Bohemian world of writers and artists in Fitzrovia.
