Consent by Elizabeth Cant, wife of John Falconer of Newton, to loosing of arrestment by Sir Robert Fletcher of Innerpeffer., 17, 21 December 1653.
Sir Andrew Fletcher of Innerpeffer purchased Saltoun and Glencorse in 1642; Glencorse was sold in 1647. The documents concern both the estate and individual members of the family.

The papers consist chiefly of Christopher Murray Grieve’s literary papers, but there is also material relating to his family and affairs.
Copy, 14 June 1437, of indenture, or agreement, 14 June 1437, between the abbot of Dunfermline and Davy Hacate, `apon al debatis and contraversyis movit betwixt thaim apon the landis of Petfuran`, the abbot to have sufficient `third` part, and the said Davy a sufficient `twa` part., 14 June 1437.
The charter and legal material contained here is of importance as giving the continuous history of a landed family in Fife from the 13th to the 18th century. The Halkett family appear to have risen partly on the decline of the Lochores of Lochore. By 1431, the former are having transumpts made of charters of the early 13th century granted to the latter (Ch.6018-6019).
Copy, 1493, of agreement, 11 July 1493, between John Stewart, Earl of Lennox [succeeded 1473] and his son Matthew, and Sir John Haldane of Gleneagles [d 1493] and his son James concerning lands in earldom of Lennox., 11 July 1493.
Almost all of these papers were used in the claim to the ancient earldom of Levenax, or Lennox, drawn up [but not brought to the House of Lords] by George Cockburn, Haldane of Gleneagles. An inventory of these documents and papers is available.

Raymond Unwin's letters concern the Cities and Town Planning Exhibition and its possible visit to America. There is a typescript of an agreement between Joseph Fels, John Willis Slaughter and Marcel Hardy of 1912 (folio 190), by which Slaughter and Hardy were to become agents for Fels in the purchase of land for cultivation in Paraguay. A letter of Patrick Geddes to Mrs Fels, 1920 (folio 146), is published in part by Philip Mairet in ‘Pioneer of Sociology’, page 186.
