A calendar of the collection, in five volumes, was compiled in the 19th and early 20th centuries and is available on request. Much of the material has been published, and the calendar is annotated with the appropriate references.

‘Catalogue of the manuscripts in the Advocates’ Library. State Papers’. The catalogue includes transcripts and fuller descriptions of certain letters and documents.

Custodial History
